New year traditions!

Here are some of our amazing ideas New year’s Eve activities..

  1. Balloon pop

Have balloons and label them one for each hour best start for 7pm. At each hour, a child selects a balloon and pops it. Inside will be a paper with an activity for the hour. Top on our list is karaoke, dance off, speak-out, musical chairs.

2. Family Tag.

This game is a spin off the original tag. Everybody’s name is written on paper and put in a hat. The oldest in the room starts off anyway. A series of questions are answered. We find this a great way to strengthen ties and build trust. Some questions..

  • Name
  • Age
  • Challenge of the year
  • Highlight of the year
  • God’s character that was revealed to them in the year
  • Who you appreciate
  • For the little ones ( what mum/ dad/ uncle/aunt etc) does all day
  • What do you want to be when you grow up?
  • What do you appreciate about your siblings/family
  • What are you looking forward to next year.

3. Lie in Cinema.

Almost like a drive in cinema but we camp out in the front room everyone cosy in a blanket, snacks, drinks, fruits best done when little ones are getting tired if they fall asleep it’s ok.

4. Sparkling water flutes…

To toast in the new year, this allows the children to have bubbly in their champagne glasses….

5. Give thanks.

A greatful heart never grows cold. We pray together, encourage one another, renew our commitment to one another and to the Lord.

Blessings and Happy new year 2020!
